About Us

KAB&CO. is a professional contemporary dance company founded and led by sisters Victoria and Julia Kabernagel. Based in Charleston, South Carolina, KAB&CO. creates contemporary dance inspired by pop culture, music, and the moments that shape everyday life.

We create work that is artistic without feeling distant, sophisticated without taking itself too seriously, and abstract without losing its connection to the audience. By drawing inspiration from the music, personalities, relationships, and stories people already know and love, KAB&CO. makes contemporary dance feel fresh, familiar, and fun.

KAB&CO. brings a distinct voice to the Lowcountry through bold movement, relatable storytelling, and performances that invite everyone to connect with dance in a new way.

Now launching a new creative endeavor alongside one another, after sharing the studio and stage together for nearly twenty years, they have joined forces to establish their own platform, KAB&CO.

Victoria (Tori) Kabernagel O'Malley is a choreographer, instructor, and dance artist based in Charleston, SC. Raised in Bel Air, Maryland, Tori began training at age three at Harford Dance Center. She performed with the pre-professional company Harford Dance Theatre and competed with Harford Dance Center and the Fallston High School Dance Team.

Tori graduated from the College of Charleston in 2018, earning a BA in Dance and Arts Management, a BS in Hospitality and Tourism Management and Business Administration. During her time with the CofC Cougarettes Dance Team, she competed at the UDA College Nationals, where the team ranked in the top 6 nationally for Division I Hip Hop. While completing her degrees, she performed in several department productions, including works by guest artists Tara Madsen Robbins and John J. Zullo. She has presented work at the Piccolo Spoleto Festival, Charleston Fuse Festival, American College Dance Association (ACDA) Southeastern Conferences, and in various CofC Department of Theatre and Dance concerts. Upon graduation, Tori received the Dean's Excellence Award for Dance, an honor given to one graduating student for academic achievement and service to the department.

Since graduating, Tori has taught and choreographed for performance groups in California and South Carolina. While teaching and choreographing in Southern California, she presented group and solo competitive work with Dance Dimensions, Home of Hartin Dance Company. Her choreographic work earned a "Studio Favorite" designation from the Nuvo Dance faculty.

Upon her return to Charleston, Tori taught at The Dance Space and served as Co-Director for the Charleston Dance Project. Her work has been featured at the Gatsby Gala with Blue Steele Productions, North Charleston Arts Festival, Piccolo Spoleto Festival, Holy City Dance Festival, Craft Charleston, and numerous Dance Space productions.
